Lost Arts studio

A lot of the fiber arts I enjoy are things like tatting, netmaking, chair caning, and even weaving, where people will come up to me when I demonstrate and solemnly tell me, "That's a lost art."

Summer Vacation, a Time to Kick Back and . . .

A time to take the kid to science camp ("I can hardly wait for tomorrow, Mom!"), meet someone from a Freecycle group to give them our old microwave, cash a check, buy a replacement clockworks to replace the corroded one, buy a few groceries as long as I'm in town, check out a yarn store where I'd previously only pressed my nose against the glass . . .

You know, rest and recuperation time! Hah!

So if I appear here only sporadically, you can imagine me lying in my hammock, sipping a mint julep (I've never had one!). I'll imagine that, too, as I'm driving around int the sun like a crazy person! Maybe if we all imagine me doing that, it will come true.
