Lost Arts studio

A lot of the fiber arts I enjoy are things like tatting, netmaking, chair caning, and even weaving, where people will come up to me when I demonstrate and solemnly tell me, "That's a lost art."

This One's for Samurai Knitter

Julie, aka Samurai Knitter, posted a yarn photo. I don't generally post kid photos, for complicated reasons, but I couldn't resist putting this one up for her: our son, age 7 months, wearing an infant gown made out of his dad's worn-out tie-dye t-shirt, against a background of the tie-dye hanging on our living room wall.

You can't see the Dad-hand that was holding him up. The white cord is to our then-new CO monitor, before we had hidden it (the cord, not the monitor) behind the hanging.
