Lost Arts studio

A lot of the fiber arts I enjoy are things like tatting, netmaking, chair caning, and even weaving, where people will come up to me when I demonstrate and solemnly tell me, "That's a lost art."

Actual Knitting

Although I haven't been doing much knitting, the last several posts have been a little light on fiber arts, so here's the obligatory knitting photo.

From left to right, a charted version of Miss Watts' "A new Leaf Pattern" from The Ladies' Knitting and Netting Book: First Series, a sample of one-and-a-half repeats knitted in crochet cotton, and pattern 6 from Sampler M (Sampler CM) in the KnitAlongSamplerM Yahoo group.

Shrubby four-o'clocks in bloom in the early morning light.

Now, unfortunately, until my washer parts come, I have to head off to the laundromat. Maybe I'll take some knitting.

I meant to comment on the Q&A post about how I love that the flowers don't care one bit about human clocks. :-)
