Lost Arts studio

A lot of the fiber arts I enjoy are things like tatting, netmaking, chair caning, and even weaving, where people will come up to me when I demonstrate and solemnly tell me, "That's a lost art."

New Moon drum circle

I made it safely back in the snow from the drum circle. Small but awesome! I am all charged up for the month. My drumhead is a natural skin one, which reacts to the changes in humidity. All summer it has been slack and hard to get a good tone. Now it is winter! The humidity is gone, and the drum was high-pitched and singing.

I originally bought it at the Michigan Renaissance Faire back in the days when Healing Earth Drums sold doumbeks there. It's a small drum, but can be plenty loud.
